Artist Statement

Carrying the values ​​of freedom, well-being, and pleasure, OZAQUES presents works that not only liberate the soul and bring happiness, but also aim to remind about the importance of mental health awareness. Through art, OZAQUES wants to open up space for self-reflection, emotional connection, and deeper conversations about inner well-being.

OZAQUES Art Journey

OZAQUES a.k.a. M.Y.A.Rozzaq (b.1996) started his first exhibition in 2017 and in the same year he was involved in the International Internship Study program at Babaran Segaragunung Culture House, Indonesia. From 2018 to 2019, OZAQUES actively participated in art exhibitions in Indonesia. Then in 2020, OZAQUES was selected to participate in the Post-skilled Artist (SPt) residency program at Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardja (PSBK), Indonesia and has also participated in exhibitions in Indonesia, Pakistan, Germany, New Jersey, and Ecuador. Then in 2021, OZAQUES becomes the chairman of the Schizophrenia Care Community in Yogyakarta for one period. At the same year, he was involved in a digital art collaborative project held by Shoebox Arts, Los Angeles and also had the opportunity to publish an experimental-based collaborative art project “Mental Illness and Creativity” in The Muse Magazine, Mc Master University, Canada. OZAQUES also has been involved in the Open Art Class program: Developing Power & Critical Thinking in the Art Making of Based Research facilitated by Inkubator Inisiatif, Indonesia.

• Lead the creative ideation process for multi-channel campaigns, ensuring designs align with brand identity, audience insights, and marketing goals.

• Design high-impact visuals for branding, advertising, social media, websites, presentations, packaging, and promotional materials with consistency and attention to detail.

• Maintain and elevate brand aesthetics for various clients, ensuring all creative outputs adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to brand growth.

• Work directly with clients to understand their needs, pitch creative ideas, present moodboards and design directions, and refine solutions based on feedback.

• Receive and process design files from clients or the marketing team for various printed materials (books, brochures, banners, packaging, etc.).

• Adjust layouts, dimensions, and formats to match the requirements of printing machines (offset/digital).

• Ensure correct image resolution, color conversion (CMYK/RGB), bleed, margins, and font usage based on printing standards.

• Perform final checks (prepress) and proofing before the printing process.

• Coordinate with the production team regarding the readiness of print files.

• Archive design files and maintain organized work documentation.

• Create detailed 3D designs for gold products such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and pendants using specialized software with brand concepts and market trends.

• Produce high-quality renders for presentation, catalogues, digital marketing, and e-commerce—emphasizing lighting, textures, and realistic gold material finishes.

• Coordinate with production teams and artisans to ensure designs can be accurately and efficiently realized through manufacturing processes (e.g., 3D wax printing, casting, and finishing).

• Participate in R&D for new collections by researching consumer preferences, global design inspirations, and technical innovations.

• Adapt and tailor designs for custom orders including initials, engravings, and combinations of metals and gemstones.

• Revise and refine designs based on feedback from the creative team, product managers, or clients.
